Description : The Government of Seychelles has received funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the European Development Fund and the African Water Facility towards the cost of the Seychelles Water & Sanitation Project. The Project is implemented by Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) of Seychelles as Promoter, Procuring Entity and Contracting Authority.
The contract concerns the design and construction of La Digue WWTP (average flow of 1,000 m3/d). The works of the contract include: inlet works with mechanical screening; septage acceptance station; grit chambers and flow distributor; air blowers and building; biological reactors; chemical dosing; clarifier tanks; rapid sand filtration; ultraviolet (UV) disinfection and building; two sludge pump stations; sludge thickening; mechanical dewatering and building; internal flow pump station; containment tank; stand-by power generator and building; operation building; and all associated site works.
